High-Temperature Rheological Properties of Crumb Rubber Composite Modified Asphalt

As a kind of environmentally friendly material, crumb rubber modified asphalt is widely used in highway engineering to accelerate the consumption end-life tires. The objective this study investigate high-temperature rheological properties composite (CRCM) asphalt. In study, same content and different additives were added prepare CRCM asphalt, including CRCM-SBS, CRCM- Sasobit/BRF, CRCM-RARX. viscosity, phase angle, rutting factor, critical temperature, storage modulus, non-recoverable creep compliance, percent recovery, stress sensitivity, functional groups all testing specimens obtained by rotational viscometer, dynamic shear rheometer, multiple Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy tests evaluate general, results favorable for enhancing performance reducing sensitivity It showed that incorporation increased viscosity under conditions. Additionally, addition base could be increase elastic components improve permanent deformation resistance, performances are closely related types additives. Thus, considering performance, RARX additive was recommended apply pavement.
